Nahui

The path to what’s next

Selling at a bazar leaves no time to write the sale down. That is why Nahui exists.

Nahui is a sales-registration and business-intelligence app for people who sell at bazares — the recurring, private pop-up markets where they sell. It is built, and it runs in production, with two real businesses set up on it. It is in pilot: what we are learning now is what it takes for Nahui to genuinely fit into a day at a bazar.

The problem, and where it came from

At a bazar, customers arrive without warning. If writing a sale down takes more than a few seconds, the next customer is already waiting.

What we learned in our first interview with a bazar vendor.

The sale still happens. It’s the record that gets lost. At the end of the day what’s left is a mental tally — and a mental tally is no basis for deciding what to stock next month.

There’s a less obvious consequence, and it’s the one that turns this into a growth problem: to stay in control, a merchant limits herself on purpose. She keeps her catalog deliberately small, because small is what she can hold in her head. The ceiling isn’t demand and it isn’t capital — it’s how much anyone can keep in memory.

A merchant can invite someone she trusts to sell with her own access — at the same event, or at another one at the same time.

Two things are deliberately out of scope: processing payments, and recommending which bazar to attend. The first is a scope decision, taken and written down. The second needs data from many merchants, and until that data exists it doesn’t get built — it would be built on nothing.

Nahui set itself a bar before building anything: at least 9 out of every 10 sales recorded, and under 3 seconds to record one. It is a design requirement rather than a measured result, and today it is unmet — measuring it takes sustained use at real bazares, and the pilot has not produced that use yet. The bar stands exactly as written, as the project’s top priority. That is why this page promises no seconds anywhere: it publishes the standard instead.

What merchants have already changed in the product

Three times, something a real merchant said became a dated product decision with its reasoning written down, and then got built. This isn’t a survey result: it’s the product changing because someone used it.

Two of the earliest people who tried it asked for this, independently of each other, on 5 September 2026. That same week it became a domain decision. It is built.

  • Leer el código de barras

    Reading the barcode

Someone who sells toys — merchandise that already carries a manufacturer barcode — asked that Nahui read the code. Decided on 13 September 2026, with a limit set upfront: no external lookup database, because coverage is unreliable for bazar merchandise and the name it would return wouldn’t be hers. It is built.

  • Nos buscó ella

    She reached out to us

On 3 September 2026 a merchant contacted Nahui on her own, after trying it. Nobody messaged her first. It was useful to her, and she needed something we didn’t have: several people selling at the same stand at once, each with their own access. That part is now in the product. Other parts of what she asked for are still not built.

All three are in the project’s public decision log, dated, with the reasoning written out. Nobody has to take our word for it — the log can be read.

Cómo va

How it’s going

En piloto, aprendiendo.

In pilot, learning.

What we already know: the product runs in production, and it was walked end to end on a real phone against the real backend — not on a development server. That walkthrough turned up three defects no code review had caught; the most instructive one was invisible in the source and obvious on a single tap.

What we don’t know yet, and it is the real question: adoption. An app working and an app becoming part of the routine of someone who already has her own way of working are two different things, and the second one isn’t solved by building better. That is what the pilot is for.

–

And the pilot is already producing answers, starting with the most useful kind: a merchant tried to use Nahui and couldn’t. She wanted to invite someone she trusts to sell alongside her, and the flow required that person’s exact email address — a requirement documented nowhere, and one nobody had told her about. The site and the service were both responding normally; the failure was in the flow. It was traced to its cause, dated, in the project’s public log (21-23 September 2026). A pilot that produces no failures isn’t working as a pilot: this is the kind of thing that only surfaces when someone actually tries.

To be plain about it: Nahui has no revenue, no growth numbers, and no adoption figure to show. If we had them, they would be on this page.

What there is: a small pilot with two real businesses, a problem that came from a person rather than an assumption, and a loop that has already demonstrably closed — a merchant says something, it becomes a dated decision, it gets built.

Cómo está construido

How it’s built

Nahui is built by Claudia Falcón, in Mexico, with a team of AI agents in separate roles — product, architecture, UX, review, brand. She decides what gets built, in what order, and what gets dropped; the agents propose, build, and review each other’s work. The interesting part isn’t the tooling: it’s that the method leaves a trail.

  • RFCs

    RFCs

A change to the product’s model of the business doesn’t get made and then documented. It gets proposed in writing, argued, and accepted before anything is touched.

  • Revisión por especialistas

    Specialist review

Every deliverable goes through a UX review, a consistency review against the product foundation, and a full walkthrough of the app by an agent acting as a merchant seeing it for the first time. That agent is an agent, not a real merchant: it runs before any real person sees anything, precisely so we don’t spend her time on problems we could have caught ourselves.

    Frequent customers

Telling apart the customer who buys a little at every bazar from the one who buys a lot once a year. Today a merchant has nothing to tell them apart with: her customers follow her on social media, not by name. It is designed and specified; building it comes after sale registration, not before.

  • Detenido a propósitoDeliberately on hold

    A qué bazar conviene ir

    Which bazar is worth attending

Today that decision gets made with no data: no footfall, no weather, and entry costs running from a couple of thousand to several thousand pesos per event, depending on the bazar. Solving it needs data from many merchants, and Nahui doesn’t have that yet. So it is deliberately on hold — it would be built on nothing.
